RIP: Eduard “Trololo Guy” Khil, at 77: Internet users the world over are mourning the death today of Russian baritone Eduard Khil, whose 1976 performance of the song “I Am So Happy to Finally Be Back Home” went viral on YouTube in 2009 and secured his place in Internet history.
Legend has it that the song’s lyrics were censored in Russia for raciness, so Khil swapped the lyrics for random sounds, including the  ”trololo” yodel for which he became famous.
Khil had suffered a stroke last month that caused irreversible brain damage. He was 77.

Este blog vale a pena dar uma olhadinha / This blog is definitely worth a look

Amigos trompetistas,

No entanto, basta achar ‘cobre y pistones’ no facebook e pedir pro cara. Olha, vale a pena mesmo! :D

Trumpet friends,

maybe you know this one, but if you don’t, do check it out: the blog Cobre Y Pistones (in Spanish) has a lot of trumpet-related material for sharing. Some days ago, the owner of the blog changed its status to private; this is, you only get there if you get an authorization from the guy. However, just browse for ‘cobre y pistones’ at facebook and ask him. Mates, it’s definitely worth a look! :D
